Today, we’re thrilled to share the next chapter in that journey: MassPay has received its SOC 2 Type II certification for 2025.

What Does SOC 2 Type II Certification Mean?

SOC 2 Type II is more than a snapshot in time. It’s a rigorous, months-long audit that validates how well an organization adheres to the security controls it has put in place over an extended period. Conducted by an independent third-party auditing firm, this certification confirms that MassPay’s controls are not only properly designed but consistently operated over time.

While Type I certification proves we have the right controls in place, Type II shows we live by them every day.
